Would it be possible that you actually haven’t heard about the Hollerado phenomenon? The band that was hand-picked by Jack White to open for The Dead Weather last summer…The band that invented the Residency Tour : a month-long tour of non-stop residencies in 7 cities for every day of the week, for 4 weeks in a row! The band that convinced Dave Foley from Kids In The Hall to be in their hilarious video for Americanarama…The band that gave away their record for free on their website and sold their DIY cds in plastic baggies...The band that’s already toured China twice...The band that won $250K from Ottawa’s Live 88.5 Big Money Shot Contest...The band with the website that is the epitome of childlike simplicity...The band that’s already been featured in Spin and Entertainment Weekly as one of the hardest working bands today...
It doesn’t ring a bell? Well, indie rockers Hollerado, Montrealers originally hailing from Manotick,
Ontario, arepresenting you their first album, Record In A Bag, out last February 2010 on Royal Mountain Records/Arts & Crafts to make sure their music travels in every corner of the planet!
Always pushing the boundaries of fun and originality, the foursome convinced the powers-that-be that it was possible to mass-produce their DIY Record In A Bag. Hurray for us, the CD comes in a Ziploc bag where not only the front and back cover are stickers, but the baggies are also filled with extra goodies such as handwritten notes, prizes, bonus tracks and the chance of winning the All-You-Can-Hollera-DO prizes: a year long supply of free admittance to Hollerado shows, free beer, t-shirts, stickers, vinyl and more!
Given the band’s unusual approach to album promotion, it’s no surprise that its touring schedule
is equally audacious! After having toured North America, packing sweaty clubs and house parties, the guys then embarked on their self-made Half-World Tour which took them to China, Brazil and Argentina. Hollerado has also shared the stage with The Black Lips, The Cribs, Andrew WK, Malajube and others.
With Record In A Bag, Hollerado is offering an infectious power pop album produced by former Me Mom and Morgentaler frontman Gus Van Go, (producer of Les Trois Accords, Vulgaires
Machins, Priestess, Chinatown, The Stills) packed with smart songwriting, endless fun, irresistible riffs and raging hooks. Record In A bag is 12 guitar driven songs, fueled by lead singer Menno’s unique voice and lyrics catchy as hell. Sticking in your head, you’ll be singing Juliette, Americanarama and Fake Drugs for months to come, without even realizing it!
Crew
Menno Versteeg: lead-singer, guitar

We are thrilled to announce that Hollerado is now a part of our booking roster! That's right! The most original band from Canada will now tour Quebec endlessly! Yahoo!
You don't know them? SNAP! I suggest you either watch their funny video Americanarama, making fun of a certain American brand with Dave Foley from Kids in the Hall, or their other music video, Juliette, or have a look at their embarrassingly lo-tech but pure genius website.
And have a listen to their record, it's pretty awesome.
