Yann Perreau unveils the live video for his song Baby Boom

Yann Perreau presents a video for his song Baby Boom, filmed and directed by the Romeo & Fils team at this year's Francofolies de Montréal. The performance showcases the artist in all his glory. The fast-paced song is off his album Le fantastique des astres, released last spring. Watch and share the video for Baby Boom via YouTube.

From August 18th to August 21st, Yann will travel the St-Lawrence River by kayak for a really great cause, the Défi kayak, to benefit the organization Jeunes musiciens du monde. The artist launched a contest to collect donations for the kids. By donating 25$ or more you get the chance to win a pair of tickets to Yann’s next show in Montréal, November 11th, at Club Soda, as part of the Coup de coeur francophone line-up. Also, the lucky winner will get the chance to meet Yann backstage after his show. Click here to donate.

Lisa LeBlanc unveils a new song off her new album to be released this fall

Singer-songwriter Lisa LeBlanc returns in full force with Dump the Guy ASAP, a new single with an hawaiian vibe. Stream and share Dump the Guy ASAP via YouTube. The single is out now on Bandcamp, iTunes, Spotify, Apple Music and other digital platforms.

Sometimes your friends date losers. I myself have dated losers. This is a solidarity tune, Lisa LeBlanc explains.

The song is from her upcoming third album to be released on September 30th via Bonsound. This new mostly-English LP draws from classic rock, indie-rock, folk, and blues, and adds a few spaghetti western touches.

The Acadian artist will perform across Canada over the next few weeks and will tour France this fall.

Visit lisaleblanc.ca for all her tour dates.

You & I d’ALA.NI is out now!

The British singer with Caribbean roots is back in Montreal and be sure to catch her performance at Club Soda on July 7th, as part of the Montreal International Jazz Festival.

Today, ALA.NI presents her self-directed video for her song Suddenly. Somewhat enigmatic, the black and white images are in perfect harmony with the elegant interrupted cadence in the song. Watch Suddenly now via Youtube.

Misc unveils a second live performance for Messenger

Misc shares a second sample of their performance from the album launch. Watch and share the video for Messenger via YouTube.

Messenger (from the album Misery is a Butterfly by Blonde Redhead) was suggested by bassist Philippe Leduc, and was quickly added to their repertoire after some exploration. They love to perform this song because of its great vigor and for the variation of intensity it suggests. Philippe Leduc about Messenger: A cover is like a recipe that we try to transform by adding and removing some ingredients. For this one, we felt that we could give it our own personal twist.

Pianist Jérôme Beaulieu, drummer William Côté and bass player Philippe Leduc will perform during the Montreal International Jazz Festival for a third time on July 2nd at L’Astral. To play during the Montreal Jazz Fest is always a great experience for us, we are super excited to be back to perform songs off our new album! - Jérôme Beaulieu.

Misc will then fly off to France for a series of shows in July.
