Just back from their NXNE show in Toronto, Secret Sun now presents the music video for Cold Coast premiering today on Les Inrocks. The song is off their inviting, simplistic and powerful (Grayowl Point) debut album released last September 2014.
Director Hervé Baillargeon, who directed the video for Passing Cars, utilizes a similar aesthetic in this black & white apocalyptic adventure. The video was shot on location in Oregon and features some breathtaking landscapes.
This spring, several Toronto and Montreal beatmakers remixed songs off of the album. The band is extremely proud of these inspiring collaborations and shares the complete series of remixes by The Posterz, FOXTROTT, Deebs, J.u.D, CRi, Toast Dawg, Dr. MaD and Technical Kidman. Visit Bandcamp to stream and download for free all the remixes.
Safia Nolin will release her debut album, Limoilou, via Bonsound on September 11th. Today, she shares a new song, Ce matin, streaming now on YouTube. The album is available for pre-order on Bandcamp (digital/cd/vinyl) with instant downloads of Igloo and Ce matin.
Don’t miss the album launch in Montreal on Thursday, September 10th. Details will be announced soon.
Safia writes her music with a beautiful spontaniety, constantly exploring the multiple opportunities around her. Drawing inspiration from her environment and general human nature, her songs will often reflect her own life experiences. Her genuine, touching lyrics and haunting melodies guide us through her unique universe.

After releasing their second album Composite a little over a year ago, Monogrenade unveils a video for Le fantôme and announces dates for their European tour following their participation in the 2015 FrancoFolies de Montréal.
Director Kristof Brandl (Antler) and director of photography Christophe Collette, with the help of stunning visual effects by SHED, challenges our perception of reality and memory by compiling images that are both ghostly and enthralling. The story follows a man who, having lost everything, receives a futuristic injection that allows him to relive his past.
Monogrenade will be part of the Tournée des Francos this year, alongside Belgian singer Antoine Chance and French trio Baden Baden. The band will also perform in several other cities throughout France.
