Having sold out their show on Ubisoft’s rooftop terrace in less than 24 hours, Milk & Bone announce a concert at Théâtre Maisonneuve, in the Quartier des spectacles, on Thursday, November 10th. Tickets are on sale now.
The electro-pop duo has already performed in packed venues, including PHI Centre, Club Soda, Virgin Mobile Corona Theatre and Rialto Theatre, and so the next step is to close the Little Mourning (released in March 2015) tour with a large-scale production. The Théâtre Maisonneuve concert will indeed be Milk & Bone’s last show on Montreal soil before they release a second album. The band will also perform at Théâtre Granada in Sherbrooke and at Le Cercle in Quebec City on November 11th and 24th, respectively.
Singer-songwriter Lisa LeBlanc returns in full force with Dump the Guy ASAP, a new single with an hawaiian vibe. Stream and share Dump the Guy ASAP via YouTube. The single is out now on Bandcamp, iTunes, Spotify, Apple Music and other digital platforms.
Sometimes your friends date losers. I myself have dated losers. This is a solidarity tune, Lisa LeBlanc explains.
The song is from her upcoming third album to be released on September 30th via Bonsound. This new mostly-English LP draws from classic rock, indie-rock, folk, and blues, and adds a few spaghetti western touches.
The Acadian artist will perform across Canada over the next few weeks and will tour France this fall.
Visit lisaleblanc.ca for all her tour dates.
Misc shares a second sample of their performance from the album launch. Watch and share the video for Messenger via YouTube.
Messenger (from the album Misery is a Butterfly by Blonde Redhead) was suggested by bassist Philippe Leduc, and was quickly added to their repertoire after some exploration. They love to perform this song because of its great vigor and for the variation of intensity it suggests. Philippe Leduc about Messenger: A cover is like a recipe that we try to transform by adding and removing some ingredients. For this one, we felt that we could give it our own personal twist.
Pianist Jérôme Beaulieu, drummer William Côté and bass player Philippe Leduc will perform during the Montreal International Jazz Festival for a third time on July 2nd at L’Astral. To play during the Montreal Jazz Fest is always a great experience for us, we are super excited to be back to perform songs off our new album! - Jérôme Beaulieu.
Misc will then fly off to France for a series of shows in July.

Great news for Bonsound artists! Les Deuxluxes, Dead Obies and Safia Nolin have all been nominated for the EspoirFEQ 2016 prize!
The award recognizes the talent of a Quebecois artist within the Festival d'été de Québec line-up. The winner will get the Bourse Sirius XM - FEQ of $10 000, a custom made guitar, offered by Quebec stringed-instrument maker Pierre-Luc Asselin, and appearance in different festivals all over the year. Pierre Kwenders won it in 2016.
The winner will be unveiled on July 9th.
Congrats to Safia Nolin for winning the 2016 Prix Félix-Leclerc de la chanson!
The prize allows two winners, one from Quebec and another from France, to find an audience on the other side of the Atlantic. The Quebecois winner will be invited to take part in the Francofolies de La Rochelle in 2017.
Safia Nolin will play during many festivals this summer. Visit safianolin.com for all her tour dates.
