Écarlate is a trio from Moncton composed of Clémence Langlois, Daphnée McIntyre, and Samuel LeBlanc. Awarded at Accros de la chanson, at the Gala de la chanson de Caraquet, and recognized as semifinalists at the Festival international de la chanson de Granby, they captivate audiences with music that is both luminous, poetic, and powerful. Their first EP Fleur de peau (2023), produced by Benoit Morier (Lisa LeBlanc), earned them the “Recording of the Year” award at the Prix Music NB. With their album Coup de soleil (2025), produced by Katrine Noël and Mico Roy (Les Hay Babies, Les Hôtesses d’Hilaire), Écarlate showcases a distinctive sound blending rich vocal harmonies, modern folk energy, and pop sensibility.
Écarlate is composed of Clémence Langlois, Daphnée McIntyre, and Samuel LeBlanc, three multi-instrumentalists from Moncton, New Brunswick, who have been sharing their musical world since 2022. The group quickly made a name for itself by winning the 17th edition of Accros de la chanson, the 52nd Gala de la chanson de Caraquet and by reaching the semifinals of the Festival international de la chanson de Granby, an achievement that helped propel their career onto the music scene of the Maritimes.
In 2023, Écarlate released their debut EP Fleur de peau, produced by Benoit Morier (Lisa LeBlanc), which earned them the “Recording of the Year” award along with two additional nominations at the Prix Music NB.
Their most recent album, Coup de soleil (2025), produced by Katrine Noël and Mico Roy (Les Hay Babies, Les Hôtesses d’Hilaire), marks a new chapter in their artistic evolution. With this project, Écarlate continues to assert a luminous and poetic musical identity, where vocal harmony, folk energy, and pop sensitivity come together seamlessly.
