Duchess Says shares a video for I Repeat Myself
Premiering today on Stereogum, the Church of Budgerigars delivers a new music video for Duchess Says’ single I Repeat Myself off their upcoming album Sciences Nouvelles. The album, a follow up to their well-received effort In a Fung Day T!, is set to be released on Bonsound (Canada) and Slovenly Recordings (rest of the world) on October 14th.
Directed by Philippe Beauséjour, the video expresses Duchess Says’ interpretation of repetition in an original and exacting way. The images force us to live and relive the song’s message, over and over again. Like a visual mantra, the shots are juxtaposed so that the viewer witnesses multiple variations of each repetition.
Duchess Says will officially launch their album on October 20th at Cabaret La Tulipe. Tickets are on sale now. The band will soon after hit the road in North America and in Europe with Guerilla Toss, Future Punx and Le Prince Harry.
