Elisapie teams up with Hologramme to release Inuktitut (Remixes) ahead of her Canadian tour

To mark the second anniversary of her album Inuktitut, Elisapie has teamed up with Hologramme to release Inuktitut (Remixes), a new EP out via Bonsound.

Inuktitut (Remixes) was born from a collaboration between the Inuk singer-songwriter, the electronic music producer, and visual artist Caroline Monnet, who were all commissioned to create a unique work for the 60th anniversary of the Montreal Museum of Contemporary Art. These remixes bring together Elisapie's moving and powerful voice with Hologramme's atmospheric and elegantly crafted arrangements. As the music unfolds, they break down the boundaries between tranquillity and excitement to reflect the geometric patterns that characterize Caroline Monnet's body of work.

Working with Elisapie was an incredible, collaborative experience, says Hologramme. We exchanged ideas throughout the process, and the channels were completely open to experimentation, allowing all ideas to be explored.

First presented during a performance at the Society for Arts and Technology (SAT) in Montreal, these remixed versions of Sinnatuumait (Dreams), Uummati Attanarsimat (Heart of Glass), and Qimatsilunga (I Want to Break Free) immerse us in an introspective, danceable realm where frontiers are blurred and emotions are raw.
