Les Louanges teams up with Corneille and unveils Crash, the title track of his new album due out Friday

Two days before unveiling his sophomore album, Les Louanges dazzles with Crash, the title track of this new effort on which he collaborates with none other than Corneille. Tracing a series of impacts characterized by whirlwind romances and the tumult of his twenties, the long awaited album by the Montreal singer and multi-instrumentalist is out this Friday, January 21st via Bonsound. Crash will be available on vinyl, CD and on all music services.

Penultimate song to this new collection of 15 mostly melancholic tracks, Crash follows Pigeons, Chaussée and Qu'est-ce que tu m'fais, three singles released in 2021. Filled with a certain euphoria, it is a bright spot at the end of an album rich in emotions and tainted with shadows. As much in its lyrics as in its instrumentation, Vincent Roberge (alias Les Louanges) reminds us that it is by the acknowledgment and acceptance of the difficulties which are imposed to us that one can advance: “Et si demain j’ai encore la gueule à terre, t’inquiète, le ciel va finir par se dégager” he sings on the vibrating and relaxed chorus of this new earworm. Crash is also the only song off the album to be performed with a guest artist. Although surprising, the collaboration between Les Louanges and the francophone R&B icon is quite natural.

In line with the themes tackled in the song, the music video for Crash, directed by William Arcand, stages the aftermath of a metaphorical bike crash where Les Louanges gets back up, ready more than ever to face the future that awaits him. He meets Corneille, whose presence symbolizes optimism and hope. The positive energy that radiates from the video is reinforced by the bright colors, enlivening shots and the complicity of the two protagonists.

The Crash tour will kick off in April and will include stops at MTELUS in Montreal on May 19th and L’Imperial Bell in Québec City on October 28th. Check out the listing below for all the dates and visit leslouanges.com to purchase tickets.
