Monogrenade announces Composite's release in France and shares new video

Monogrenade is very pleased to announce the release of their sophomore effort, Composite, on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean on September 1st, 2014 via French label Atmosphériques. Released in Canada in February via Bonsound, Composite utilizes vintage synthesizers that coast through planetary atmospheres (Exclaim), and lyrically explores our human essence.

To add to this great news, Exclaim.ca premiered the video for Métropolis, directed by Christophe Collette, the man behind the much talked-about stop-motion video for Ce soir. A complex beat-driven song, Métropolis' lyrics are inspired by the 1927 German expressionist sci-fi film of the same name, which relates to the story of a man living in a futuristic, overpopulated, divided and polluted city.

The band will be playing at Gesù this Friday, June 13th, as part of the FrancoFolies de Montréal, where they will present their new show for the first time in Montreal since the release of Composite. On the menu: celestial lighting and projections, Pietro Amato on French Horn and Safia Nolin's participation on one song. Monogrenade will also play in Sherbrooke on July 10th, Quebec City on July 11th and L'Assomption on August 7th.
