Scénario Catastrophe, the second album from cult Quebec rock band Le Nombre, is now available on vinyl for the very first time! Released in 2004, the record is reborn in a new format, with remastered sound, twenty years after the original scenario.
Recorded in Toronto and produced by Ian Blurton (Tricky Woo, Weakerthans), the album showcases Le Nombre at their peak. Acclaimed by the specialized press here and abroad on its initial release, this record gave them the opportunity to tour Europe several times, as well as making a brief foray into the U.S. (where independent radio station WFMU gave them a prominent place in their charts), and of course Canada and Quebec, a highlight being when they opened for The New York Dolls (at the FEQ).
Active from 2002 to 2009, Le Nombre produced three albums rich in beautiful, raw poetry and relentless riffs and rhythms. They've stunned audiences with an intense, precise, chaotic, breathless performance, and confounded rock's linguistic skeptics with personal, incisive and hard-hitting lyrics.
