Täbï Yösha drops wistful single Outta Sight before releasing her new EP Pink Moon this Friday

Täbï Yösha delivers a smoky, deeply felt performance on Outta Sight, a song about the pain of not being truly seen in a relationship. This introspective track, which premiered on CBC’s The Block, is the final single from her new EP Pink Moon, due out June 5th via Bonsound. The Montreal-based singer will celebrate the release of her second effort with a launch party at L’Idéal on June 11th, where she will perform some of her new tracks.

Outta Sight captures the silent struggle of existing in someone else’s gaze without ever truly finding one’s place in it. For Täbï, it’s similar to being a trophy wife: she may shine, yet within the relationship she remains invisible, reduced to what she represents rather than who she is. In just a few notes, the singer evokes the suffocating feeling that arises when one is pushed to the background of their own story. Contemplative and bittersweet, the singer searches for hope amid the gloom. Tell me when life will be better / For me and you, sings Täbï as she awaits the promise of better days.

The song was born from a moment of creative surrender in the studio, alongside her collaborators Max-Antoine Gendron and Jay Lavigne (SAENS). That day, I had no inspiration, she recalls. The guys just opened the mic and asked me to sing. So I simply freestyled a few verses. In that spontaneous moment, Täbï Yösha reconnected with her musical roots, pouring raw emotion into a performance where her voice, carried by a retro-tinged soul-pop production, shines and takes centre stage.
