Dead Obies unveils a video for Waiting and announces a fall tour
Having just won the Festival d’été de Québec’s 2016 Espoir FEQ Award, Dead Obies now shares a fourth music video for their album Gesamtkunstwerk, released this past March. For the video, set to the song Waiting, director BAZ followed a group of young fans as they rap the lyrics with astonishing precision and (almost) as much swagger as Dead Obies.

Dead Obies also announces the 22-date fall XXXPLOSIF Tour presented by Chic Choc rum, including two shows where the group will be backed by musicians of Kalmunity, Canada's largest and longest running improv music collective; December 1st at Impérial Bell in Quebec City and December 2nd at Club Soda in Montreal. In addition to taking part in the live recording of Gesamtkunstwerk last fall, these musicians also performed alongside Dead Obies at the album launch and at the FrancoFolies de Montréal’s opening concert. VIP packages for the shows in Quebec City and Montreal, which include a t-shirt, a poster, a ticket for the show, access to the soundcheck and a meet & greet with a photo, are available in very limited quantities at shop.deadobies.com.
Fans of Dead Obies will also get the opportunity to discover the universe of French rapper Georgio who will open for the band in Quebec City, Montreal and Gatineau on December 1st, 2nd and 3rd, respectively. In the same spirit, Georgio has asked Dead Obies to open for him in France in March 2017.
