Lisa LeBlanc releases Too Many Cooks, a new single where country meets funk
Lisa LeBlanc returns with Too Many Cooks, a highly catchy song that blends funk and country music. Based on the turn of phrase ''Too many cooks in the kitchen'', Lisa describes it as “a quirky, kinda funky, kinda country fun tune!”
Driven by a bouncy fingerpicking riff inspired by the legendary guitarist Chet Atkins, Too Many Cooks unfolds with bass grooves and elegant brass arrangements, nodding to James Brown and Chic.
Directed by Alexandre Pelletier, the music video is inspired by a reality cooking show where contestants host the other participants in their homes. Lisa is competing against little mischievous puppets who are trying to sabotage her chances to win.
Following A Fleeting Thought Becomes Another Fleeting Thought and Whole Lotta Talkin’, Too Many Cooks is the third single from the album Patchwork, due out on February 5, 2027, via Bonsound. Her sixth album is currently available for pre-order on vinyl, CD, and in digital formats.
