DONALDA unveils new single C CHER
DONALDA is back in full force with C CHER, a danceable protest song boasting raw energy and an exhilarating build-up.
C CHER (which translates to “It’s expensive”) condemns the frantic pace of capitalism and its physical and psychological effects. DONALDA’s new track references “O Marie”, a 1989 song by emblematic musician and producer Daniel Lanois that tackles the grueling labor of French-Canadians who used to work in Ontario’s tobacco fields.
Fueled by mesmerizing basslines and choppy beats, C CHER transforms collective exhaustion into a visceral and danceable musical anthem. It is both a cry of frustration and a call to question a system that hinders collective fulfillment.
