Lisa LeBlanc releases the orchestral-disco single, Entre toi pi moi pi la corde de bois, and reveals the details of her upcoming album

Lisa LeBlanc returns with the single Entre toi pi moi pi la corde de bois, released today via Bonsound. The flamboyant Acadian also announces the release of her highly anticipated upcoming french album, Chiac Disco, which will be released on March 18th, 2022. The album is available for pre-order now.

Built on a hypnotizing Rhoades electric piano riff, Entre toi pi moi pi la corde de bois deftly combines a confident disco-funk rhythm to grandiose string arrangements, evoking the romanticism of Lee Hazlewood's compositions. As the logical continuation of Pourquoi faire aujourd'hui, the first single from Chiac Disco and a vibrant ode to procrastination unveiled back in September 2021, Entre toi pi moi pi la corde de bois casts a personal yet universal eye on our obsession with productivity.

To accompany this new track, Lisa reveals a stop-motion music video directed by Philippe Beauséjour, who took inspiration from the aesthetics of the 70s, the movie Yellow Submarine and the work of Terry Gilliam, in order to achieve the result he had in mind.* I visualized faux wood walls and experienced a strange nostalgia of cigarette scent, imbued in the wallpaper and shaggy, olive-colored rugs,* says the director, who used a glass shelf to create depth of field and give more life to his animated collage technique. On the other hand, visual artist Laurence Papadimitriou created the cat characters and designed the papier-mâché components.

In the midst of the release, the Acadian musician also announces multiple shows to come in 2022. Visit lisaleblanc.com or consult the list below for more information.

About Chiac Disco
Produced by Benoît Morier and Lisa LeBlanc, Chiac Disco is a collaborative and vibrant album with a sometimes sixties, sometimes seventies feel, staging the improbable encounter between disco and chiac; where glamour meets rurality. With its eye-popping strings, its precise beats filled with soul and the bursts of trumpets and trombones, the whole album breathes joie de vivre, but still provides some clever reflections on modern society. A spontaneous response to a bleak 2020, Chiac Disco reflects the passion that a group of musicians can share when creating in total freedom, putting aside guilty pleasures. Packed with all kinds of musical glitter and colorful lyrics sung loud and proud, this is a groovy record above which hover the benevolent ghosts of Lee Hazlewood and William Onyeabor, while also being inspired by the musical chops of James Brown and the sparkling allure of Chic.
