Lisa LeBlanc unveils the video for her ferociously upbeat track “Gold Diggin’ Hoedown”

Lisa LeBlanc unveils the video for her ferociously upbeat track Gold Diggin’ Hoedown off her mini-album Highways, Heartaches and Time Well-Wasted (released via Bonsound).

Director Didier Charette wanted to showcase western communities outside of America. The video was filmed over 10 days in Tokyo, Japan, the perfect fast-paced city for this fast-paced song.

The video was mostly filmed guerilla style, says the director:

It was really interesting to shoot with Sanae because we couldn't really talk, she didn't speak English and I don't speak Japanese. So I had my little book, with basic Japanese stuff I had written down to tell her what I wanted to film. People would give us looks as a Japanese cowgirl was walking with three male foreigners.
