Lisa LeBlanc presents Me semble que c’est facile, a delicate ballad off her upcoming album Chiac Disco

A few days after announcing a headlining show at MTELUS as part of the Francos de Montréal this summer, Lisa LeBlanc returns with the song Me semble que c’est facile, the third single off Chiac Disco, her fourth effort in career, due out on March 18th, 2022.

Through lyrical outbursts reminiscent of the great chanson francophone of the early 70s and architectural string arrangements evocative of Lee Hazlewood’s Your Sweet Love, Me semble que c’est facile is carried out with sweetness and vulnerability. It is also a tribute to Willie Nelson, whose hit song Blue Skies influenced Lisa’s lyrics.

As reflected by its sincere, uninhibited and slightly humorous lyrics, Me semble que c’est facile is THE love song of this highly colorful album that is Chiac Disco. Despite its rich sentimental sound, it is a down-to-earth ballad that reminds us that a romantic relationship does not solely rely on intensity and the notion of love at first sight ; it is also necessary to learn to appreciate the little things that run naturally and recognize the good and not so good side of each other in order to put the required efforts for a couple to continue flourishing.

Directed by Alexandre Pelletier, the music video for Me semble que c’est facile dives into a love story that lives up to the music. Set in an elementary school dance, the video features Lisa delivering a beautiful and tender performance as an unexpected romance between two chaperones unfolds before her eyes. The idea for the chaperones was very much inspired by the teachers who came to chaperone the dances at my school, explains Lisa LeBlanc. The school staff would do it voluntarily, and with a lot of love, so that the kids could have something to do. I thought there was a super tender and wholesome side to a love story between these two chaperones.

Last week, the Francos de Montréal announced the presence of Lisa LeBlanc for their upcoming edition. The Acadian singer will be headlining MTELUS on June 16th, 2022, and the tickets are on sale now. Some thirty other shows are planned across the province later this year. Visit or check out the list below for all the dates.
