Sophia Bel teams up with Thierry Larose on the enchanting new French single Dans les marguerites

Sophia Bel joins forces with singer-songwriter Thierry Larose on Dans les marguerites, a catchy single in French infused with her unique sense of nostalgia.

Dans les marguerites is the follow-up to First Date, a collaborative single released with Claudia Bouvette earlier this summer, and the deluxe version of Anxious Avoidant, which Sophia Bel unveiled back in May.

The song was first inspired by a guitar riff that Thierry Larose had in the back of his mind for some time. It evoked Sophia's memories of a majestic field of daisies she had discovered during a psychedelic trip a few summers back. The duo then worked closely together to put their desire to live in the moment into music, creating a catchy track that exudes kindness and euphoria. It was really inspiring to work with Thierry, his attention to detail is quite impressive, says Sophia Bel. Dans les marguerites is an ode to the joy of living in the moment, especially in a world where it's easy to get trapped in thoughts about the past and the future.

With its sun-drenched melody sung in tandem, Dans les marguerites is a throwback to the francophone pop music played on Cité Rock Détente, a radio station that shaped Sophia's imagination while she was growing up in Quebec City around the turn of the millennium, and the music of pop rock bands from the same era such as Sixpence None The Richer and Wheatus.

Dans les marguerites is accompanied by a video directed by Sophia Bel, shot in a beautiful field of flowers.
