Bonsound is thrilled to announce the signing of Spaghatt (the singer-songwriter project of Émile Touzin-Deschênes) to its management, label and booking rosters!
Spaghatt, has been making his mark on the Quebec country scene since the release of his debut EP, Perte totale, in early 2026, a project full of pedal steel licks, knee-buckling melodies, and genuine, unvarnished lyrics. What began as Friday night jams (and a good excuse to have a beer) quickly evolved into something more serious. At the legendary Montreal venue Quai des Brumes, the crowd’s immediate enthusiasm cemented the interest for this breath of fresh air on the country scene.
While country and Americana influences lie at the heart of Spaghatt’s sound, he steers clear of the clichés all too often associated with this quintessential genre. Inspired by artists ranging from Willie Nelson and Emmylou Harris to Quebec’s own Stephen Faulkner, Spaghatt serves up songs about love, the open road and cash-filled adventures performed with an energy guaranteed to get you moving.
The singer and guitarist will perform at L’Esco on November 28, accompanied by his band. This will be his first time on stage in Montreal since he reached the semi-finals of Les Francouvertes last April.
