With Alouette!, Les Louanges attempts to make sense of his human condition and Québécois identity through guitars and Joual (the French language dialect spoken in Québec) while leaning into his signature grooves. This third effort, more rock-oriented than his previous albums, is a luminous and rich quest (in music, emotion and political commentary) that brings the musician face to face with universal experiences such as illness, death, and true love.
