Les Louanges unveils new heartfelt ballad Ne me quitte pas des yeux
After making waves again with the song La journée va être chaude in January, Les Louanges returns today with Ne me quitte pas des yeux, a new single from his much-anticipated third effort, Alouette!. Available for pre-order (vinyl and CD) now, the album is due out April 10th via Bonsound.
On Ne me quitte pas des yeux, Vincent Roberge (aka Les Louanges) unleashes his inner crooner and revisits the tropes of the romantic ballad, which he takes beyond the typical declaration of love. Now more mature, he explores the ideas of self-sacrifice and facing adversity together as a couple to emerge stronger. Through stormy synths reminiscent of the Twin Peaks soundtrack, stripped-down arrangements, and a playful use of silences, the singer-songwriter's performance, part Prince, part Cohen, draws us intimately into the eye of the storm. The artist dedicates this song to caregivers and those around them.
In addition to the sold-out concerts at the Imperial Bell in Quebec City on November 28th and the Olympia in Montreal on December 4th, Les Louanges has announced a tour across Quebec, which includes an additional date in Montreal (December 5th, 2026). In May, he will be heading to Europe to perform in Paris, Lille, Strasbourg, and Brussels.
