Milk & Bone treat us to a new version of the song Movies

Milk & Bone treat us to a new version of the song Movies

Milk & Bone unveils Movies (Softest Version). This is a tender rendition of the song Movies, featured on their third album Chrysalism, released via Bonsound in 2022. The soft melody and layered vocals of Movies (Softest Version) recall Milk & Bone’s identity in the duo’s early days. This new version follows Sour (Softest Version), as well as the remixes of 20MGs and Piggyback.

Imbued with tenderness and vulnerability, the lyrics of Movies convey, on the album version, a sense of empowerment and fun. They refer to a very specific dilemma: succumbing to the pressure of becoming the perfect partner, or staying true to yourself and ending a relationship that's running out of steam. Movies (Softest Version), on the other hand, evokes a sense of solitude that is absent from the original track. This new version was recorded with David Tanton, member of Tender Spring and Afternoon Bike Ride, who plays guitar on the track.

After touring across Quebec since the release of Chrysalism, Milk & Bone will be performing at the Beanfield Theatre (formerly the Corona Theatre) on February 16th, 2024 for their Montreal homecoming. This will be the duo's first Montreal headline show in over a year. In winter 2024, Milk & Bone will also be performing in Terrebonne, Cowansville and Gatineau. See the list below for more details.
