Population II unveils Électrons libres du québec!
Population II releases Électrons libres du québec, available on vinyl, CD and digital format! On this new album produced by Emmanuel Éthier, the trio comprised of singer/drummer Pierre-Luc Gratton, guitarist/keyboardist Tristan Lacombe and bassist Sébastien Provençal presents nine psychedelic rock tracks infused with feverish funk rhythms, a hint of jazz philosophy, the raw energy of early punk and a love of minor scales that harkens back to the roots of heavy metal.
A little more direct than À la Ô Terre, its predecessor released under Castle Face Records in 2020, Électrons libres du québec proves once again that the band possesses a sharp sense of composition and an undeniable mastery of its instruments.
