Sophia Bel makes a case for radical contentment with new song Postcard

As the world screams at us to always want more, Sophia Bel gives us permission to be happy with what we already have on new song Postcard. This contemplative folk vignette is the third single off When The Cows Come Home, her second album, to be released May 7th, 2027 via Bonsound.

Like previous singles Rat Race and Mood Ring, Postcard is a quiet ballad with a loud statement. Its soft acoustic guitars and celestial soundscapes hide a political message; the song rejects a culture built on chronic ambition and unnecessary abundance, celebrating the simple beauty of small things instead. I know there’s magic in the stars / But I can see them from the ground, Sophia sings over gentle fingerpicked chords. With an organic, slightly lo-fi indie folk sound comparable to the likes of Adrianne Lenker, Minna and Florist, Postcard unveils another layer of Sophia Bel’s upcoming album.
