Lisa LeBlanc is back with Whole Lotta Talkin'

A few years after embracing the disco sound on the Polaris-shortlisted Chiac Disco, Lisa LeBlanc is back with a bang with Whole Lotta Talkin’, a cheerful rock number you’ll want to listen to over and over again.

Driven by an infectious surf rock guitar riff and a bright ‘60s-sounding organ à la B-52’s, the single playfully recalls a situation we’ve all been in: being cornered by someone who just won’t shut up. This delightful new song also showcases the Acadian musician’s ability to switch effortlessly from French to English, and from disco to rock'n'roll, without ever compromising her artistic identity.

Directed by Alexandre Pelletier, the music video follows the touring adventures of a dysfunctional rock group made up of Lisa LeBlanc and her puppet bandmates. “I wanted to tell this funny, absurd story with the utmost seriousness, as if we were watching an ultra-dramatic musical biopic,” explains the director. Be warned: what starts off on a playful note ends with a double puppet murder.
