Marie Davidson & L’Œil Nu unveil Renegade Breakdown

After releasing the title track and the single Worst Comes To Worst over the last few weeks, Marie Davidson & L’Œil Nu unveil today Renegade Breakdown via Bonsound (Canada) and Ninja Tune (rest of world). The album is available on vinyl (double LP) and on all digital platforms

Renegade Breakdown, which scored 9/10 on Exclaim and 4/5 on NME, marks a new departure from the "club music" and purely electronic sounds of Working Class Woman (2018) and her previous solo albums. Accompanied by L'Œil Nu (Pierre Guérineau and Asaël R. Robitaille), Marie boldly draws from a variety of inspirations, including Fleetwood Mac, Kraftwerk, Billie Holiday and the emblematic french singer Mylène Farmer. The trio delivers an innovative and forward-thinking pop album by following their instincts and returning to their roots, in order to create this bold, new sound.
